The Vall d’Àger (Àger valley), was immortalised by the writer Josep Pla in the following words:

“the valley is a remote and distant paradise, which enjoys a divine sense of peace”.

The area is known for the accessible, signposted trails taking in breathtaking scenery of lakes, gorges and mountains as well as the preserved Romanic architecture.
